This worship event and workshop has something for everyone of all ages. On Friday we will have a worship night with Jon Slater and a message on Worship. Saturday will be specifically to those who are musically gifted and are sensing a call with their gifts to worship. A focus on building a heart of worship in excellence to Christ to serve the body within the churches. What it means to be called to lead worship, talent vs excellence in Christ.
Workshops will also focus on how to cultivate and build a worship team and how to build unity and grow spiritually as a team and how that filters to the body leaving room for God to do the miraculous in healing and setting people free.
Finally, how to grow your team to become composers of worship launching your own teams worship recordings.
Jon Slater is a worship leader, songwriter, producer, and creative coach. As a writer and worship leader in the JUNO nominated band, Movement Worship, he has written songs that are sung throughout churches in North America and that have garnered attention from Christian radio charts in Canada including ‘God Of Faithfulness’ and ‘Still’.
He was nominated for 6 GMA Canada awards including male vocalists of the year and musical collaboration of the year and won Worship Song of the Year for his work on ‘Still’ with songwriter Brooke Nicholls. He has pastored in local, Canadian churches for over 10 years, developing a passion for writing songs and creating spaces where people can focus their attention on Jesus and have their lives transformed by the presence of Holy Spirit.
He is also committed to encouraging and equipping local churches across the nation to have creative and impactful worship moments through excellence in the arts. Currently, Jon lives in Woodstock, ON with his wife Sarah and their three children. He travels across Canada to work alongside of local churches in developing their creative, music, production and song writing environments.
